What to do if bees aren’t eating 2:1 sugar feed?
Hi, everyone! I have five hives right now and they're all doing well in regards to winter prepping. All of my hives have a lot of honey stored and are consuming tons of 2:1 sugar water. One of my hives (from a package I bought in the late spring) doesn't seem to have much honey stored, though. Their hive is very light to the touch. When I go to fill up my top feeders, I notice that they aren't even touching their sugar water. Is there anything I can do to get them to eat it? I don't want to use any external feeders because yellow jackets are bad in my area. Thanks in advanced!
