Wax moths in winter stored boxes
In November I had brought two deeps for storage inside. They were outside in freezing temps so I figured any insects may have been killed off. This morning I discovered wax months in some of the frames. I cleaned off the frames from the webs and any visible cocoons.
In order to kill any eggs/worms can I leave the boxes outside for the week? Temps are below freezing most of the day and overnight.
Any other steps I need to take? I’d like to reuse these frames since they are drawn with some stored honey and pollen.
