No activity at hive entrance, but eggs and eating feed
Hi, I have two new hives this year. One hive has tons of activity and is fine.
The second hive, I did a full inspection over the weekend, and moved it a few feet back to get it off some weeds growing through my driveway. Now it's over asphalt. It has a metal entrance reducer because it swarmed earlier and had been weak. I've been trying to feed it extra to get it to catch up with my other hive. I went out today to top off the feeder, and there's literally no activity at the hive entrance. I can see bees eating the feed (I have a top feeder), and I know there were eggs in there on Sunday. I removed the entrance reducer in case the metal was getting too hot?
Do you have any ideas on what could be wrong?
