New Keeper Really Needing Some Input: Can’t tell if I have supersedure or a swarm happening (it’s complicated and may involve overfeeding). What to do here. More below along with photos.

I have one have that's a month old, built from a 5 frame nuc. Italian VSH, am foundationless, have about 80% of comb built out, have recently seen the queen. 50% plus of what's getting built out is drone cells. I may have overfed so most cells with no brood are filled with syrup.

In the bottom box there's open brood cells but still a lot of syrup being stored. I came out yesterday to some bearding at the front of my hive. After an inspection I found two capped queen cells (pictured). They were placed on partially drawn comb so I can't tell if it's supersedure or swarm.

It's been suggested that the high drone count may indicate a pheromone imbalance = supersedure. It's been suggested they simply ran out of room during their build out due to all of the syrup. I'd really prefer just to keep the one colony with the queen because I lose the VHS trait if they split and it's double the work but I think that ship has sailed.

I bought a wooden Langstroth hive and painted yesterday in case you all say to just split what I have. If you've read this far, thank you. I feel like I'm on here too often asking questions but you all have been extremely helpful and the input is greatly appreciated. So, what would you do here?
