Need to move a currently active mason bee house soon
Bought a new house in September (just north of Seattle, WA), and discovered what the mason bee house was a few weeks ago (thought it was a bird house since a bird had used it at some point and nesting material fell out over the winter).
There's currently a lot of activity happening. However, we are getting the house painted in late May and obviously this will need to be moved.
How can I safely move the house, and where should I move it to?
I have no idea how it's fastened to the wall, and I don't know if there's any risk of being stung (I don't think so but not sure).
Are there services that do this? If I wanted to move it elsewhere on the property away from the house to be painted, would it be ok to just set it on a stone retaining wall, or hang it from a tree branch?
