Moving a Group of Hives

Going into my third year of beekeeping and the Girlfriend Approval Factor to keep 6 hives near the barn has dropped. I need to move them about 150' north. So far I've been careful to keep to the 2-3' a day max, but this is going to take a while.
Does anyone have experience on how the bees tolerate moving several hives together? It's in a smaller field and these hives are the biggest thing for 30' around. I would think (hope) that they could tolerate bigger moves as long as they are orienting on the larger group of hives first.
