Looking to get into selling comb, how to encourage them to build straight comb?
Hey guys, 3rd year with my ladies coming up, and I’ve been thinking about going further than a hobby this year, I have 1 hive (I live on .33 of an acre in a heavily populated area) but I’m planning to do an early split, then focus my ladies on making comb and honey to sell.
Would staggering foundation and foundationless frames encourage them to build straight comb? Or should I just do the ol’ 8 foundationless and let them figure it out?
I’m looking for nice neat squares of comb, my ladies are notorious for burr comb everywhere, lol m nervous if they had free reign they’d make a twisted mess
