Looking for help to keep bees away (not sure if this is the right place to ask)
Okay, so I work at a brew pub in central New York with patio seating. Throughout the past few weeks, the bees (I believe they’re just honey bees) have been HORRIBLE. Completely swarming people as soon as they get food/drinks, to the point that they ask to move inside or to just get their food to go because it’s unbearable. They aren’t aggressive or anything. Just annoying and people are barely getting two bites in before their food is literally covered in bees.
Now, a few coworkers have set up “bee traps”. Mason jars with a funnel and some sweet stuff inside. Which ends up killing probably 15-30 bees a day. I don’t want to keep killing them. What can I do to SAFELY deter them from the patio?
(I just work there. I don’t have the authority to call an exterminator or bee keeper to help out. Just looking to do my part to save some bees)
