Is there a reason why boxes don’t interlock?
This is a newbie question, but I just got my first hive and put everything together and realized that everything rests on top of the stack except for the lid. It concerns me that wind will just topple it over. Is this a common thing, or do come unassembled hives have a latch or a piece of wood that locks everything together?
I've seen people use ratchet straps to hold the hives together during transport, but nothing when the hive is on the ground. Is this a design feature to make fully loaded boxes easier to pull apart for inspections or is there some pecial trick to give the hive some stability?
