Insulation Query

Would a greenhouse (unheated, uninsulated) help bees overwinter? I have a small Palram 6'x8' greenhouse and I'm considering placing it over the Warre hive this fall to protect the bees. The greenhouse weighs like 40 pounds so I can just lift it and set it over the hive, and then stake it down. It'll get cold here, probably negative 15 F, this would only protect against wind chill and maybe help gather heat in the daytime. Is this idea worth considering? Would it be best to leave the top-vent open a crack? Thanks submitted by /u/OpulentEarth |
