I’m not a beekeeper in any length. Since the past 2 weeks, I have strange-acting bees coming into my house at night. I came across this sub in the comments of another post about the OP saying that they saw a strange acting bee. I’m sorry if I’m breaking rules. I’m sorry if I sound stupid.

We are grateful you are here

Okay so I am from western India. A tropical country. The weather here is warm and dry and temperature ranges from 3 degrees Celsius in winters to 45 degrees Celsius in summer.

I don’t know what kind of bees these are but they are brown in colour.

Since the past 2 weeks, lots and lots of bees (more than 20-30) enter my house and start buzzing near the bulbs and tubelights. After a while they get “tired”(?) and start strangely walking and trying to climb walls but falling off and not able to fly and then they do really strange walks like they’re running a fast 10cm sprint and then slowing down and going in circles again and again. It’s like they’re disoriented idk what to do? I don’t know if they are dangerous even? I looked it up on the internet and it says they’re infected by a fly while others say that it’s just how bees are. I also read that normal bees are never out in the night. I don’t know what to think. I’m sorry if I sound stupid. I just feel bad for the poor bees but also find this really fascinating. What is going on with bees around my house? I live in a locality with lots of trees. I tried finding the source of the bees (a hive) but haven’t been able to find one. I’m sorry if I sound stupid right now.

PS: I have lived in my house all my life with doors and windows wide open with all artificial lights on. An occasional bee did find its way inside my house maybe once in 4-5 months (or even less) but that’s about it.

I’m sorry and thank you!
