I was a bit slow to add an extra super- Will the bees move the honey up from the brood box?
As the title says, the nectar flow is very strong where I am in the UK and I was slow to add a new super. The brood box has been backfilled and its quite honey bound, although there's still a couple of frames for the queen to lay. I've heard bees instinctively like to store honey above the brood nest (or at least away from their main entrance). Will the workers move the honey upwards into the super to give the queen space? My honey spinner doesn't fit brood frames so that's not an option.
