I am afraid my hive doesn’t have enough food for winter. But it gets really cold at night.
This is my first year of beekeeping, and my hive was low on food through summer dearth even with me feeding them. I have some pollen patties that I planned to give them. But it got cold way faster than I expected. Some days it's 80 degrees. Some days it is 30. I am afraid it doesn't stay warm long enough for them to rebuild their propolis seal. Will they take a 2:1 sugar water ratio from an entrance feeder? (It fits with an entrance reducer) Or should I just wish them luck?
