How long would it take for a temperature/humidity change to kill the bees ?
Hello,
Im building a small smart project in which i have devices embedded within beehives which contain sensors for temperature, humidity and a weight scale underneath the beehive, my device transmits sensor data each 1 hour to a server, which detects temperature, humidity changes and alerts the beekeeper (via mobile notification).
But i wanted to know, would a 1-hour transmission be enough ? if a temperature change happened at 3:00PM for example, would it be enough for the beekeeper to get notified at 4:00PM and calculating the time it might get the beekeeper to get to the farm, we can probably add another 1 hour, so would that be enough for him to react or would it be too late ?
I was told that even if i transmit data each 4 hours, it would be much, but at the same time, i heard that bees are very sensitive to temperature changes and need extensive care.
I would recommend any suggestions and ideas.
Thank you very much.
