Honeybees & night sorties
Hi keepers, I have a unique situation I wanted your advise on. I recently moved into a high rise apartment in the tropical urban setting of India, there is a hive in a highly unreachable place so the people have mostly ignored it. the species in question is likely apis Cerana Indica going by what I've seen. Since the summer, I have seen these bees making night sorties, getting lost and gravitating towards light sources and eventually dehydrated, dying. I thought bees don't ever fly in the dark, so does anybody has any theories why they leaving their hives at night ? It's heartbreaking to see a bunch of them dead in elevators, stairwells. Everyday. 🙁
