First year beekeeper overwintering questions
We have Russian carnelian mixed bees we have found them to be very hygienic and highly vigorous. This is their first year and they exploded filling two deeps and a super we took only two slats of honey mid summer and left the rest. So for overwintering is it ok to leave the super on so they can keep all that honey. We haven’t treated them but haven’t seen any problems regarding this. Finally I was thinking of just giving them 4 pollen patty’s and not feeding sugar will this be ok or should I feed sugar water. Anything help and I would love to hear your tips.
