Do I need to clean out a leafcutter bee block at the end of the season. (and if so how?)
I live in Ontario and this is my first year with leafcutters bees ordered online.
They seem to be thriving but I want to make sure they do OK next year too. Most sites recommend cleaning mason bee blocks but I can't find anything about leafcutters. The block they are in looks like foam and there would be no way to extract the dormant bees. Do I need to worry about mites and diseases? Thanks very much.
