Crazy weather scenario
I’m not sure how concerned I need to be:
3 days ago, it was 80 degrees (upper 70’s for 2-3 weeks prior). Flowers and trees were blooming, and my bees were out foraging. They were hitting my maple tree hard.
Then yesterday I got 4” of snow. Once the snow melted off their entrance I saw several dozen dead bees in each hive (5).
Just curious how hard it is on bees to have this kind of whiplash in temperature?
I did mite treatment in October.
