Capped queen cell in honey super
Has anyone seen this before? This morning during inspection I found at the bottom of a honey frame a capped queen cell. I run a queen excluder (metal) with no other sign of any brood in the super. This hive was requeen'd a month ago, is laying well and during this inspection I spotted her. The cell was your usual length queen cell but it was a real pale yellow in colour. There was royal jelly inside the cell when I smushed it.
