bees proliferation a little to much this year.

Anyone else notice that the flow this year has been a little crazy? I relocated so maybe that has something to do with it. My 2 hives died over the winter and just to keep the hobby going I got a 3lbs package with no plan of expanding. Well that nuc filled a deep with brood pretty fast and tried to swarm so I split them. Well now my honey supers are full and they are cramped in their deeps once again. I don't have another hive to split them and don't have the space for more hives. Is it the new area or has this year just been a big year for bees? I haven't been feeding them much either. I fed them maybe 10lbs of sugar at the start of the year.
