Apivar and capped honey safety
Hey all – first year beekeeper here.
I started apivar treatment with some frames of capped honey left in a super that was still on the hive with a queen excluder on. Is this honey safe for human consumption?
I dont need it, just curious.
I have heard that any residue will break down in UV once jarred, but it seems like there shouldn't BE any residue in that honey if it was capped before apivar when in.
So yeah- take it out and spin it for me or save it to feed back to the bees come spring….Thoughts?
