A tiny taste of next season
I'm shutting my first year hives down and one had already moved all their honey down into the brood chamber, leaving one ~30% frame. I took it because I just had to know.
Crushed and strained into a beautiful, dark honey. It has a bite to it – not like store honey at all. More flavor on the back of the tongue than just sweet overload.
This was from a hove in my in-laws back yard, which has a huge garden full of all kinds of flowers. The other two are out in pasture on the farm, so I'm curious to see how the tastes compare.
