1st year beekeeper. Apiguard question

We are grateful you are here

1st year beekeeper. Apiguard question

So the instructions say not to have supers on the hive when treating. So ive been wanting to give my girls more space, so i was going to remove and harvest the super and replace with a second deep. And while they are expanding into their new home i would treat with Apiguard.

But i thought bees moved honey around sometimes. If i remove super and treat for 6 weeks, then put a super on, wont the bees move some of the treated honey into the super? My understanding is that the thymol makes the honey taste bad.

So can i not treat with Apiguard except during the winter or something?
